My very talented friend Christina is telling people to WATCH THIS SPACE :) You really do need to watch it because I know it will not disappoint. There is already some great stuff on there! I personal own a CT original already on a t-shirt and I love it.
Yes my blog title is stolen from Mumford & Sons (thanks guys). I am traveling, and hopefully teaching, with a suitcase (or two). UPDATE - In Thailand until the mid April. Then I am off to Cambodia, Vietnam, the Philippines, Qatar, and finally HOME!

It will be one HELL of an adventure!
So people have been asking me this question A LOT - "What is after Thailand?" It was freaking me out because I didn't have any plans after Thailand, apart from a month or so of traveling, until TODAY.
After Thailand and travels I will return to AMERICA to see my family and catch up with my friends and then sometime in the SUMMER of 2014 I WILL be moving to Australia for 1 YEAR on a working visa.
This plan started from a conversation about opening a bar with Pip and Christina and we have now decided that owning bar might be a bit tricky and Australia for a year is where it is at! The wonderful Pip (link to her amazing blog HERE) has started the research and I do not see any reasons why we cannot make this dream come true! We will arrive in Australia to live in a hostel, until we find an apartment, and we will be jobless when we get there.
I am writing this post because one day I want to say - "remember that time we planned to move to Australia and we did?" This is happening, it is THE plan, we WILL do this, more memories will be made. more travels are ahead of us, and it will be one HELL of an adventure.
UPDATE - Megan is now game and moving with us also :)

2 weeks and 2 days - yikes!
I am horrible at updating my blog. I thought I was getting better but then September just became so busy. Time is going way to fast and I am not sure if I am prepared. Don't get me wrong, I am ready for a new adventure but I am not prepared in unfinished Doha business, Thailand forms, and packing (oh I am stressing about packing majorly because I always overpack). I did have a minor panic attack yesterday but then I reminded myself that I am actually more prepared than I think I am. Basically I just need to stop over thinking the little things because everything will be alright!
I only have one form left to complete - the medical (see last post for that rant as I don't want to go into it again... yes the story has developed). My sister is coming in a week and she is bringing me Auburn documents and mozzie spray. I need to buy a backpack so I can just pack all my stuff and relax in Doha for my last 2 weeks. My last day of work at CMUQ and TAMUQ is the 30th so I will have 11 days to spend with friends and family before I fly away to Thailand.
I have started to collect a bunch of travel quotes to have on hand to remind me why I am going even further away from home. Here are a few...

Medical or open heart surgery?
So this post is mainly a way for me to vent about how silly things are in Qatar sometimes... get ready for a whole lot of complaining. Stop reading now if you don't want to hear my "dramatic" story.
This week I set out thinking - "right I will get my medical and visa done for Thailand then I will be done and can relax for the rest of my 5/6 weeks" - yeh, right, haha! My medical... the Dr. looked at the paper and said "I have never seen a form like this"- I knew it wasn't going to be easy. She really had no idea what the form was and she had no idea what a check up was! No lady I am not sick, I just want you to ask me the questions, take my temp, and sign the form saying that I am good to go. She wouldn't do this until I got all the vaccines on the list after I told her I didn't need them. We finally agree that I am going to get the top three and of course they only had one. So she sends me off to get the others and says come back and she will sign it. So I leave and the next place only has one out of the 2 and they say that Doha is all out of the last one I need. Great! Yay! Hot and sweaty I go back to my clinic to find out the shift has changed and the new doctor says "I cannot sign this because the director is not here and the director must sign it" - IT SAYS PHYSICIAN'S SIGNATURE not DIRECTOR OF HOSPITAL SIGNATURE. So my medical didn't get signed yet, my arms hurt from both the shots, and I am left thinking... All I wanted was a check up not the "go ahead" for open heart surgery. Really?
My visa isn't a big deal but the traffic was. So here is the rant - LEARN HOW TO MERGE. One on, one off, one in, one out! It really isn't that hard people of Doha! It would make the traffic actually better! There would be less traffic! When I got to the Thai Embassy I was missing a bunch of letter and forms but the lady was nice and once I hand that in I will be golden.
I just really don't want to go back to the doctor to get it signed because the place just makes my BLOOD BOIL. Not to mention when I am sitting there talking to the doctor and she is asking me the questions on the medical we keep getting interrupted by a lady who speaks only bedouin Arabic - she clearly didn't understand the number system or waiting her turn.
To top this week off my AC broke, again. Sleeping in the heat is no fun. Sleeping with it on couldn't happen because it leaks and I have never been the kind of person who likes to fall asleep to the sound of the rain. Thank goodness I tracked down the AC guy on the compound today and he had some free time to come fix it! I can't wait for a good nights sleep - maybe I will take the medical task with a smile on my face now :)
